Applications for part-time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed when openings become available. Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring, and summer. Postings close yearly, and to maintain your application within the system, you will need to re-apply each year.
NorthWest Arkansas Community College is seeking qualified applicants to establish a pool for part-time and/or substitute instructors in the Certified Retail Analyst (CRA) certification program. Preferred candidates for these positions must be seasoned/experienced retail industry professionals with at least 5 years of Walmart's Retail Link Decision Support, Luminate Report Builder or Scintilla experience.
Essential Duties
  • This retail industry program develops and prepares students to enter the retail industry as competent employees by teaching the fundamentals of retail analysis that lead to sales and market share growth. This program is well respected within the Walmart and Walmart supplier community.
  • Courses taught in this program include MS Office, Adv. Excel & Access for Database Management, Retail Industry Foundations, Retail Link Data Management, Retail Supply Chain & Replenishment, Retail Tools Integration, Retail Strategic Analysis and Retail Analytical Techniques (capstone class).
  • These courses are aimed at individuals that work during the day and take classes in the evening. Classes are taught one night a week from 6:00pm - 9:00 pm online via MS Teams.

Rate of pay: $2,475 per Instruction Course
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of the organization and administration of various higher education academic and social programs.
  • Knowledge of campus and community resources.
  • Knowledge of state, federal, and campus rules, regulations, and requirements related to campus academic and social programs.
  • Ability to coordinate the activities of campus academic and/or social programs.
  • Ability to evaluate collected information and formulate into recommendations.
  • Ability to compile information into report form.

Required Education/Experience
  • Preferred candidates for these positions must be seasoned/experienced retail industry professionals from the Walmart CPG/supplier community, Walmart, Sam's Club, or 3rd party providers. A bachelor's degree is desired, but not a requirement. A minimum of 5 years with Walmart's Retail Link Decision Support, Luminate Report Builder or Scintilla experience and retail industry experience is required.
  • Depending on the opening or class, additional extensive experience utilizing one or more of the following applications may also be desired: Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Tableau, Power BI, Power Query and Power Pivot.
