Project Overview:

Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility. 

This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity, and we are looking for the talent that will help expand Poland’s nuclear base and build a strong and long-lasting energy future for generations to come.

This position is subject to U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) regulations at 10 CFR Part 810 (Part 810), which govern the transfer of hardware, materials, and technology to support the construction and operation of commercial nuclear power plants overseas.

Job Summary:

The Project Information Management (PIM) Software Developer (Data & Analytics) plays a pivotal role in delivering advanced digital solutions for this landmark mega-project.

We are looking for someone who enjoys solving complex data problems by building scalable solutions, while ensuring data security and compliance.

In this role, you will build data pipelines, integrate systems and develop analytics that connect engineering, construction, and project controls data to improve execution, safety and decision-making.

You’ll join a high-performing, collaborative team where you’ll gain hands-on experience across key functions, including Safety, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Construction Management, Project Controls, and Commissioning & Startup, accelerating both your capability and your career.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Develop data pipelines and integrations across engineering, construction, and project systems.
  • Design and deliver scalable solutions that accelerate digital delivery across the project.
  • Support the development of business intelligence, including Power BI dashboards and data visualizations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve business challenges by analyzing data, identifying trends, and delivering actionable insights.
  • Document development efforts, solutions, and lessons learned to support knowledge transfer and institutionalization.
  • Cross-train team members and promote the adoption of best practices across the project and business line.
  • Collaborate with project and corporate teams to share best practices for enterprise reporting, ensuring data accuracy, timeliness, and standardization.
  • Build strong working relationships with team members and key stakeholders to support successful delivery.
  • You will also have exposure to advanced data architectures, including graph-based data models and AI-driven solutions supporting project execution.
  • Support fully integrated Common Data Environment (CDE).
Education and Experience Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or in lieu of education, a high school diploma or eqivalent and 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Possess the legal right to work and remain in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to pass nuclear security screening requirements and be able to obtain and maintain unescorted access to a nuclear power facility.
  • Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check including verification of employment, education, and travel.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge in the following technologies with a minimum of 3 years in at least two of the following categories:
    • Database development experience MS SQL, Oracle (Graph/Neo4J a plus)
    • Front-end and Backend development framework using C#, ASP.NET, React, Python, Javascript
    • Experience with Databricks
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Apps
  • Experience with code repositories and versioning control
  • Experience with Agile project management techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work and adapt to changing work schedules.
  • Strong time-management skills
Required Knowledge and Skills:
  • Advanced SQL (complex queries, optimize performance, and work with large datasets across different databases).
  • Advanced knowledge of software development tools and processes.
  • Hands on experience with data and system integration.
  • Design and creation of reports/dashboards using Power BI including DAX.
  • Able to work effectively with some degree of independence and autonomy.
  • Demonstrates curiosity, self-learning, and complex problem-solving skills.
  • Possesses strong planning, organizational, time management, decision-making, written and oral communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional and distributed teams.
  • High attention to detail and ability to ask clarifying questions to ensure the accuracy of analysis.
