Purpose

The Data Analyst III designs and develops analytical and reporting solutions that support business decision-making processes. This role is a subject matter expert in SQL, data aggregation, Power BI (or similar Business Intelligence tool), and managing requests for both internal and external clients.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and maintains analytical and reporting solutions that support business intelligence requirements.

• Collaborates with stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop the appropriate solutions.

• Performs data analysis and develops data models that support data-driven decision-making.

• Implements the solutions via reports, data extracts, and analyses using SQL, PowerBI, and other data reporting and analytical tools.

• Apply diagnostic storytelling techniques to illustrate clear, actionable insights via complex data patterns.

• Writes measures and calculated columns using the DAX language.

• Automates report delivery via PowerBI and proprietary delivery tools.

• Ensures data accuracy, integrity, and consistency by implementing appropriate data quality measures.

• Tests and validates the solutions to ensure adherence to requirements and data accuracy.

• Troubleshoots and resolves data-related issues.

• Collaborates with other team members to develop best practices and ensure consistent standards are maintained.

• Manages requests for data from internal and external clients, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.

• Understands the business, goals, and data capabilities to deliver the solutions that go beyond what the requirements to provide increased value.

• Documents requests, requirements, and the solutions using the appropriate tools as defined by the team manager.

• Assists with training and mentoring other Data Analysts.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, IT, related fields, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in business intelligence development, data warehousing, or related fields.

• Experience with Power BI and other BI tools.

• Strong SQL skills and experience with data aggregation and data modeling.


Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
