Job description

Foothills Animal Shelter seeks a data analyst who is committed to advancing our mission and excited to engage in the transformative work of animal welfare.ย

Who We Areย

As an open admissions shelter, we are committed to being here for families and their pets in Jefferson County, Colorado. We identify as a socially conscious shelter, caring for over 9,000 dogs, cats, and small animals every year with a compassionate team of staff and volunteers who are committed to the physical and emotional wellbeing of every pet and person we serve.ย

What You Bringย

  • You are a data storyteller. You transform complex data sets into clear, actionable insights that help teams make smarter decisions and raise critical funds in support of our mission.ย
  • You are a problem-solver. You see inefficiency as an opportunity, and you are always looking for ways to streamline processes, automate tasks, and improve the way we work.ย
  • You are a skilled communicator. You have a talent for translating technical concepts into language that resonates with stakeholders of all backgrounds โ€” and you ask thoughtful questions to make sure youโ€™re solving the right problem.ย

  • You recognize the significance of the human-animal bond, and you are excited to raise funds that support the formation and continuation of these powerful relationships.ย

What Youโ€™ll Doย

  • Build, maintain, and improve reporting and data processes that power our fundraising and marketing efforts and support teams across the shelter.ย
  • Serve as the go-to expert on shelter data โ€” extracting, cleaning, transforming, and presenting information from our databases to support grant requests, marketing communications, and strategic decision-making.ย
  • Maintain CRM databases, prepare mailing and communication lists, and develop processes that improve data quality and efficiency.ย
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, and support users in understanding and using the tools and reports you create.ย

What We Offerย

  • Letโ€™s start with the obvious: we offer truly meaningful work that positively impacts the lives of thousands of animals and people each year.ย
  • This is a part-time, hourly, hybrid position with a minimum of one dayย onsite per week at our shelter in Golden, Colorado. Candidates must reside in Colorado.ย
  • We strive for a healthy work-life balance, and we offer generous time off including floating holidays (awarded annually on your employment anniversary), three weeks of accrued vacation, and paid sick leave.ย
  • Part time employees meeting minimum service requirements may participate in our retirement plan with up to 4% employer match and immediate vesting.ย
  • The pay rate for this position will be $30.00 - $33.00 per hour, depending on education and depth and breadth of relevant experience.ย
