Job Purpose
Year-Round Intern reporting to the Market Research Supervisor for an opportunity to learn, analyze and report out on Automotive and Industrial markets. Responsibilities include regional and global market research and analysis, customer and competitive analysis, database entry and maintenance, and presenting research findings to management.
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitoring and collecting market intelligence relevant to BorgWarner's business.

  • Monitoring customer and competitor activity for important communications.

  • Communicating regional and global market movements to BorgWarner's Global Market Research team

  • Locating, interpreting and presenting data from external sources such as Mobility Global, Omdia, MarkLines, Global Data, etc.

  • Supporting research leads with specific projects, reports, and tasks for BorgWarner's business units.

What We're Looking For
  • Ability to report onsite to our Auburn Hills campuses at least 3 days a week.
  • Currently a full-time student enrolled in an accredited college or university.
  • Student with a minimum one - two years college experience in Business, Marketing or Engineering related fields.

  • Candidate has excellent communication skills and interest in the automotive industry.

  • Must have a strong work ethic and be naturally curious.

  • Recent experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential.

  • Recent experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, Power BI or equivalent is preferred.

  • Technical and newsletter/blog-style writing experience is preferred.
