DivaDance is the #1 brand for pop-music inspired, choreography-based dance classes, programs, and parties - with franchises across the US and in Mexico.

The Gig:

You're the Queen (or King!) Bee of every DivaDance class, teaching clients original choreography to songs ranging from Bey to Zara. Our classes are for all levels and follow a consistent DivaDance format.

Our ideal candidate has a big personality, experience creating choreography and teaching adults, and is super reliable and responsive via phone/text. If you're a chronic flake or lastminute excusemaker, this won't be your vibe. But if you want to earn extra money doing what you LOVE, you'll fit right in.

If selected, all candidates are required to complete our online Instructor Development Program before teaching your first class. There is no cost to you for this professional development.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead fun, high-energy dance classes for adults that align with DivaDance brand standards
  • Partner with the class host to:
    • Help with basic studio setup, breakdown, and cleanliness
    • Greet clients, nurture in-class leads, and maintain class notes
  • Build authentic relationships with clients and fellow team members
  • Participate in team trainings, meetings, and community events
  • Represent the DivaDance brand with personality and professionalism

HOURS, COMPENSATION & LOCATION

Schedule & Commitment

  • Minimum 4 shifts per month required for consistency
    • Mostly evenings and weekend mornings/afternoons
    • Some daytime and early afternoon opportunities available
  • Part-time, flexible scheduling based on your availability
  • Update availability monthly by the 5th of each month
  • In-person classes in Joliet, IL
Compensation & Perks
  • Base Pay: Starting at $30/hr
  • Pay range: $30$50/hr based on experience and performance

Qualifications:

Important Policies

Non-Compete Agreement

To protect our business and client relationships, instructors agree not to teach competing dance fitness classes within 25 miles of our locations during employment and for 12 months after. This allows us to invest in your development while maintaining our community.

  • Arrive performance-ready: fresh appearance, official DivaDance apparel
  • Respond promptly to team communications via Slack
  • Limited class substitutions
  • Maintain professional conduct with clients and team members
The Process
  1. Submit your application with resume and choreography video
  2. Information Session and Audition with the Owner
  3. Complete DivaDance certification training (sponsored at no cost)
  4. 60-day introductory period with coaching and feedback
  5. Ongoing development through monthly class visits and quarterly reviews
