Job Description This position would be a hybrid position where the foundation of the role is Event Producer and working with leadership with direct focus on Coffee and Culture events. It would be required that the chosen applicant is capable of reporting to both teams and taking direct lead of Coffee and Culture event planning. The position would require the employee to both complete 2 CASE events per semester along with facilitate all Coffee and Culture events (3 per semester on average) They also will be in lead of curating and installing Laird center case displays.
This position reports to the CASE Programming Student Manager and the Program Manager for Activities and Organizations

Division I, Range I.
Required Qualifications Applicants must be available to work between 5-15 hours per week during the semester and attend staff meetings and events as necessary, including morning, evening, and weekend shifts. Some work during breaks may be necessary.
- Annual Fall Learning Experience (retreat) for two days prior to the start of the semester (end of August).
- They demonstrate good organizational and communication skills as they will be working closely with multiple teams.
- They offer an emphasis of cultural awareness and demonstrate their interest in working towards equity and social justice.
- They offer the maturity to handle difficult topics and create a safe atmosphere for open discussion.
- Be available for approximately 12-15 hours per week during the semester, including 8 hours scheduled time per week.
- Play a vital role in developing a lively and vibrant community on campus by contributing to the 4 components of programming: Selection, promotion, production, and evaluation of each program. Areas of program include: cinema, concerts, travel, late night, special events and a primary focus on Coffee and Culture events.
- Negotiate performance contracts with professional agents and artists, and ensure that all points of the contract and rider have been met for both parties.
- Develop a good line of communication with Program Services, Campus Reservations, Dining Services, SPTV, The Pointer, 90FM, Diversity and College Access.
- Develop an organized system for events and create a filing system accessible to future employment on TEAMS.
- Annual Winter Retreat for one-two days prior to the start of the second semester (end of January).

Preferred Qualifications It is encouraged for the applicant to have prior experience in programming, public relations, and/or advertising.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates with at least two semesters remaining at UWSP.
Education The Event Producer must be at least a part-time student (enrolled in a minimum of 6 undergraduate or 5 graduate credits) and be in good academic standing (cumulative and semester GPAs of 2.0 or higher) at the time of hiring and throughout employment.
