Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Sunset Senior Living is responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents. The RN will oversee and coordinate nursing care, ensure compliance with healthcare standards, and act as a key resource for residents, families, and staff. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' physical, mental, and emotional health, documenting findings and creating care plans.
  • Care Planning: Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Medication Management: Oversee the administration of medications, ensuring accuracy, adherence to protocols, and proper documentation.
  • Supervision: Lead and mentor LPNs, nursing assistants, and other support staff, ensuring they adhere to best practices and facility policies.
  • Emergency Response: Provide prompt and effective care in medical emergencies, coordinating with other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and changes in residents' conditions.
  • Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication between residents, families, and the healthcare team, addressing concerns and providing education.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, facility policies, and standards of care.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance resident care.


Requirements:
  • Education: Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Licensure: Current and valid RN license in the state of Illinois
  • Experience: Experience in a senior living, long-term care, or similar healthcare setting is preferred, but not required.
  • Skills: Advanced clinical skills, strong leadership and communication abilities, proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
