CAREvity, LLC is seeking two part-time registered nurses (RNs). The RNs will provide RN assessments and client visits. These part-time positions may include fill-in shifts for caregivers on short notice.
 
Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Assessing clients to determine care needs and the level of care needed.
  • Creating care/service plans in coordination with the client or responsible party, the client’s physician, and other healthcare providers.
  • Performing regular reassessments and observations and charting observations, e.g., improvement or deterioration of symptoms, new symptoms and new care needs, reactions to medications, and overall health condition of the client.
  • Researching and recommending ways to improve the client’s quality of life.
  • Educating clients and/or the responsible parties.
  • Training and supervising caregivers.
  •  Supporting and instructing employees, providing direct care verbally and in writing.
  • Ensuring client and employee safety and security by assessing potential risks and introducing preventative measures.
  • Maintaining communication with the client’s physician and other healthcare providers.
  • Maintaining the client’s progress notes and clinical notes if the client receives skilled nursing care.
  • Ensuring care continuation in case of client transfer.
  • Coordinating care services between CAREvity, LLC, and other healthcare providers when necessary for the privacy/confidentiality of client information and agency matters.
  • Maintaining accurate time records and submitting required records on time.
  • Responding to emergencies and participating in weekend and holiday shifts/schedules.
  • Taking part in any special projects, including surveys and studies.
  • Reporting all suspected or witnessed cases of abuse and serious incidents to the relevant bodies as directed by Georgia Law rules and regulations.
  • Taking part in policy formation and revision.
  • Assisting the Administrator in making decisions related to care provision and services.
  • Complying with and ensuring compliance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Protecting CAREvity, LLC’s resources, supplies, equipment, and other property.

 Qualifications and Education Requirements 
  • Must have an associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing from an Accredited institution.
  • Must have a valid state licensure.
  • Must have First Aid and CPR certifications.
  • Must have 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in a home care setting.
  • Great organizational and supervisory skills will be an added advantage.
  • Must be able to think and act quickly in case of an emergency.
  • Must be kind, compassionate, and non-judgmental.
  • Must be computer literate and be able to communicate well in both verbal and written English.
  • Must be a team player and willing to respect and work with clients and coworkers.
  • Must be able to work under stressful conditions with or without direct supervision.
  • Must have a full understanding of the rules and regulations pertaining to the industry.
  • Must comply with state and federal laws and agency policies and procedures.
  • Must be ready to avail of all records in a timely way.
  • Must be ready to demonstrate a full understanding of Universal infection control and OSHA procedures.
  • Must be physically able to stand for long hours and lift or support clients with mobility issues.
  • Must possess excellent (minimum of 20/70 in either or both eyes) visual and auditory (you can hear noises between 0 and 25 dB across the frequency range) senses.
  • Must pass a background screen.
  • Must be willing to travel as required and own a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
  • Must provide evidence of adequate health status to perform duties.
This position has the potential for cross-training with other programs within the agency. The home care job description does not include cross-training to perform those job functions. This portion of cross-training will be utilized on an as-needed basis.
Physical Demands
 Our Registered Nurse may spend long hours on his/her feet and, therefore, requires stamina. He/she is also likely to help lift patients and support those who need physical assistance to walk, rise from the bed or toilet seat, etc. Based on this and other special circumstances, the physical demands relating to this job position include: 
  1. Standing and sitting for more than 20 minutes.
