Job description

RVNAhealth is seeking a Part-Time Grant Writer to support our nonprofit healthcare organization in securing funding from foundations, corporations, and government agencies. This role will research funding opportunities, write grant proposals and letters of interest, and manage grant submissions and reporting. This position is ideal for a strong writer with nonprofit fundraising experience who is passionate about supporting community-based healthcare programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and identify foundation, corporate, and government grant opportunities

  • Write compelling grant proposals, narratives, and letters of interest

  • Collaborate with internal program leaders to identify funding needs and program priorities

  • Assist in developing project budgets for grant applications

  • Maintain a grant calendar to track deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements

  • Monitor the progress of submitted proposals and coordinate follow-ups

  • Prepare and submit grant reports in compliance with funder requirements

  • Maintain accurate grant and donor records in the database

  • Support the Development Team with funder acknowledgements and stewardship

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Minimum 2 years of grant writing experience, preferably in a nonprofit organization

  • Proven success securing foundation, corporate, or government grants

  • Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills

  • Strong organization and project management abilities

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and donor database systems

  • Ability to analyze program data and budgets to support grant proposals

Compensation:
Our target pay range for this position is $34.00 to $36.00 per hour. This pay range represents RVNAhealth's commitment to pay transparency and is a reasonable estimate of possible compensation for this role at the time of posting. The final salary for this role will be determined based on careful consideration of a variety of factors, such as the candidate's exact location, experience, and expertise related to the qualifications.
