Job description

The Part-Time Technical Writer / QA Reviewer provides editorial and quality assurance support to ensure all deliverables meet Government standards for clarity, accuracy, accessibility, and professional presentation.
Responsibilities Include:
• Conduct detailed editorial reviews for grammar, clarity, and consistency
• Verify compliance with Government formatting, branding, and style standards
• Perform Section 508 accessibility reviews and remediation
• Support quality control for high-visibility deliverables such as annual reports, newsletters, and guidance documents
• Provide recommendations for document improvement prior to submission
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or related field
• 5+ years of technical editing or quality assurance experience
• Demonstrated experience with Section 508 compliance
• Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail
• Federal documentation experience preferred
Security/Access Requirements:
• Personnel must obtain and maintain all required background investigations and Government security credentials necessary for access to Coast Guard facilities and information systems.
• Personnel must be eligible for and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) as required.
• Personnel must comply with all Government security, identification, and facility access policies while performing on-site duties.
