Join the New Student Initiatives Team as a Multimedia Producer -- Orientation Programs this summer!

Are you passionate about storytelling through video and photography? We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented student to capture the energy, excitement, and impact of Orientation Programs. This role will help shape how new students and families experience UNR through engaging visual content, including a "What is Orientation?" video, recap videos, and professional photography for Wolf Pack Preview, marketing, and social media use.

As a Multimedia Producer, you will work closely with the Program Manager and Orientation Social Media team to bring campus experiences to life through high-quality visuals that highlight student engagement, connection, and Wolf Pack pride.

Responsibilities

  • Capture high-quality photography and videography during Orientation sessions and related New Student Initiatives events
  • Produce a "What is Orientation?" video highlighting the student experience and program impact
  • Create recap videos and short-form content for social media platforms
  • Edit and deliver polished photo and video assets in a timely and organized manner
  • Collaborate with the social media and marketing team to support content needs
  • Maintain organized digital media storage and file management systems
  • Ensure all content aligns with UNR branding, messaging, and storytelling standards
  • Provide creative input on shot selection, storytelling, and visual direction
  • Assist with capturing candid moments, professional headshots, and event coverage as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in photography and/or videography (portfolio required)
  • Proficiency with photo and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of visual storytelling and composition
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced event environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating content for social media platforms (Instagram,TikTok, etc.)
  • Prior experience covering events, student life, or campus programming
  • Familiarity with branding and content creation for marketing purposes

Schedule

20 hours per week with flexibility between June 16 and September 6
