RESPONSIBILITIES OF A GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTOR:

  • Motivate and lead class participants through fun, enjoyable classes
  • Create positive lasting memories for each participant, each day

REQUIREMENTS TO BE A GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTOR:

  • Minimum age 18.
  • Must enjoy teaching others.
  • Current state approved First Aid, CPR/AED Certificate.
  • Current nationally recognized group fitness instructor certificate (e.g. ACE, AFAA YMCA Group Fitness Instructor, ACSM or National Exercise Trainers Association only).
  • Must have a current instructor certification in Zumba, Jazzercise, MixxedFit or any similar style of dance group fitness.
  • A positive energetic attitude with the ability to motivate others.
