How much do part time counseling jobs pay per year?
What is the difference between Part Time Counseling vs Full Time Counseling?
| Aspect | Part Time Counseling | Full Time Counseling |
|---|---|---|
| Credentials | Typically requires a relevant master's degree and licensure | Same as part time, often with additional certifications for specialization |
| Work Environment | Flexible hours, often in clinics, schools, or community centers | Full schedule, often in similar settings with more consistent hours |
| Employer & Industry Usage | Used by clinics, schools, private practices for flexible staffing | Standard employment in healthcare, educational, or mental health organizations |
| Workload & Hours | Fewer hours, typically less than 20 hours/week | Full-time hours, usually 35-40 hours/week |
Part Time Counseling offers flexible scheduling with fewer hours, ideal for those balancing other commitments. Full Time Counseling provides a consistent schedule with more hours, suitable for those seeking full employment in mental health services. Both roles require similar credentials and are common in healthcare and educational settings.
