This role is ideal for a provider looking for a flexible but consistent schedule while making a meaningful impact in behavioral health and addiction treatment.

About Us

Paugus Bay Behavioral Health is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals struggling with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Our mission is to break down barriers to recovery, empower individuals, and create a supportive healing environment.

Why Join Us?

  • Competitive Compensation - Competitive hourly compensation based on experience and qualifications.
  • Professional Growth - Be part of an organization that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Position Overview

We are seeking a provider who can commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week, ideally across two consistent 5-hour shifts per week. This consistency allows our team to appropriately schedule intakes, psychiatric evaluations, and follow-up care for clients.

The schedule may be any weekday Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

This position does not include weekends or on-call responsibilities.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication management services for IOP, outpatient, and future PHP clients.
  • Review and sign laboratory orders, including urine drug screening orders.
  • Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up care for behavioral health and substance use disorder clients.
  • Schedule and manage your own patient follow-up appointments to support continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Coordinate patient care with therapists, nursing staff, primary care providers, and other members of the treatment team.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary case consultations and clinical collaboration meetings as needed.
  • Educate clients on medications, treatment planning, and recovery support using a compassionate, strengths-based approach.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based clinical practices.

Who You Are

A compassionate and dedicated provider with a strong commitment to behavioral health and addiction treatment who values flexibility, autonomy, and collaborative care.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing required.
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New Hampshire.
  • DEA license required prior to hire.
  • Experience working with adolescents ages 13 and older preferred.
  • Experience with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) preferred.
  • Experience working with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of psychotropic medications and behavioral health treatment interventions.
  • Current CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication and collaboration with the treatment team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in behavioral health, psychiatry, or substance use disorder treatment settings.
  • Experience in outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), or partial hospitalization (PHP) environments.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed and recovery-oriented models of care.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid flexibility may be considered based on operational needs and candidate experience.
  • Services are provided Monday through Friday during standard business hours.
  • No weekend coverage or on-call responsibilities required.
