This position ensures the safety of personnel, visitors, and property by patrolling premises, controlling access, and responding to incidents.
Incumbents will work a maximum of 29 hours per week. There are no health benefits, paid time off, or paid holidays available for this position. This position is not available until July 1, 2026.
  • Locking/unlocking doors
  • Conducting regular foot or vehicle patrols of the interior and exterior grounds to identify security risks
  • Monitor entry and exit points of the building
  • Writing daily activity and incident reports
  • Provide customer service
  • Provide security at evening public meetings

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience in security detail, either in the public or private sector required.
  • Prior law enforcement experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • The ability to work well with others;
  • The ability to learn and perform basic skills and procedures designated for security personnel;
  • Knowledgeable of all federal, state, and local laws as well as the facility policies and procedures;
  • Must be adaptable in changing situations and work assignments.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
