PART TIME RESEARCH SCHOLAR
New York University Tandon School of Engineering
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Part Time Scholar to work with Professor Rosanna Bellini.
New York University (NYU) is one of the top private universities in the United States, and the Tandon School of Engineering, located in Brooklyn, NY, is deeply committed to excellence in teaching and learning. Tandon fosters student and faculty innovation and entrepreneurship that make a difference in the world. Work will take place at the NYU Center for Cybersecurity, an interdisciplinary research institute dedicated to training the next generation of cybersecurity professionals and to shaping the public discourse and policy landscape on issues of technology and security.
Expectations
The duties and responsibilities of this position involve work on a research project in the area of technology adoption across small businesses. This includes fieldwork, data analysis, writing papers, and preparing presentations. The duties and responsibilities in the position described may be modified as our objectives and mission change. Previous experience in user studies and working with a diverse research group is necessary for success in this position.
Salary:
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is $39.23 (for 20 hours per week) depending on the candidate's experience and qualification.
Expected start date and period of employment
Expected start date is: June 16, 2025. This position is expected to end on September 19, 2025. Part- time appointments would require a work schedule of 20 hours per week
Qualifications
Candidates should have at least an MS in Computer Science or a related field, OR be currently enrolled in the pursuit of doctoral training for at least one (1) year. Candidates will be required to present eligibility to work in the United States.
