Job Summary:
This posting is for a pooled position. Application submissions for "[POOL]" positions are accepted on an ongoing basis to ensure a continuous and ready pool of qualified candidates for immediate review when the need arises. If/when a position becomes available, the College will review applications from this pool, and interview candidates whose qualifications best match the specific opening.
Applicants must reapply to the pool annually to maintain their active status in the pool.
Teach classes in Computer Aided Design Drafting. Specific teaching assignment will depend upon the needs of the College and specific skills of the selected candidate. Program courses cover Mechanical, Architecture and Civil drafting.
Essential Duties:
  1. Teach CADD courses that meet the learning needs of students
  2. Develop curriculum, identify and assess student-learning outcomes
  3. Deliver course content via face-2-face, remote instruction, or in a hybrid fashion.
  4. Perform other professional duties as needed

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Position involves the use of the computer and or traditional design/illustration tools, requiring forearm, hand and finger dexterity, good hand-eye coordination and good near visual acuity and accommodation (ability to bring items into sharp focus). Must be able to sit at the computer or drafting table for long periods. Production of color graphics requires good color vision.
Work is performed in a normal office setting. More than 50 percent of the incumbent's time is spent working on a computer.
Education and Experience

In order to be considered, your application must clearly show you meet the minimum qualifications for this position.Associates degree in Computer Aided Design Drafting or a closely related field, or 4 or more year's full-time experience as a draftsman. Experience in Mechanical, Architectural, or Civil drafting required.
Experience in delivering course content remotely preferred.

Salary and Compensation Information:
Courses are paid on a per-credit basis. New Part-time Faculty begin at Step 1 of the payscale, with steps being "rolled" once per term, if eligible.

    • Table 1 illustrates the cost per credit for each step on the pay scale. Instructors new to the College typically start at the rate listed in column 1.
    • Table 3 illustrates the compensation per hour for meetings, training, advising, curriculum development, or other related work.
