PART TIME RESEARCH SCHOLAR
New York University Tandon School of Engineering
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Research Scholar to join an exciting project on accelerating cryptographic and privacy-preserving computation using modern computer architectures.
New York University (NYU) is one of the top private universities in the United States, and the Tandon School of Engineering, located in Brooklyn, NY, is deeply committed to excellence in teaching and learning. Tandon fosters student and faculty innovation and entrepreneurship that make a difference in the world.
Expectations:
Candidates will have the unique opportunity to engage in original interdisciplinary research and take on a leadership role in ongoing projects. They will also have the intellectual freedom to pursue research activities of their choice within the scope of NYU's Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. The candidate will work closely with Prof. Brandon Reagen on exploring system-level and architectural solutions for next-generation cryptographic and other relevant projects.
Salary range:
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is $26.27 to $30 per hour depending on the candidate's experience and qualification. The position requires at least 20 hours per week.
Qualifications
  • MS (preferred) with expertise in Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated program coordination experience, ideally in an academic setting.
  • Candidates must present proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
