Part-Time Job Coach - daylight, weekdays


BCRC, Inc. (Beaver County Rehabilitation Center) is a non-profit agency that provides support to people with intellectual, developmental, psychiatric, and physical disabilities with the goal of increasing independence, securing employment, and enriching relationships through community inclusion.

Schedule:


Part-time Job Coach - Production Center, Daylight hours, 7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., 4 days a week between Monday and Friday. This position helps individuals with disabilities build work skills in a vocational workshop. You will support participants as they work towards improving their vocational skills through warehouse assembly related work activities and at community volunteer and work sites.



Part-time Job Coach - Records Management Department, Daylight hours, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., 3 days a week - Monday, Tuesday, and one additional flexible weekday. This positions helps individuals with disabilities build office and clerical skills. You will guide and train program participants as they work on document scanning, data entry, and filing projects in BCRC's digital records department. 


Key Responsibilities:


  • Train and Coach: Teach participants (adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism or behavioral health diagnosis) how to sort, scan, copy, and file office document. If working in vocational workshop, you will train participants as they work to complete assembly related work activities and develop their vocational skills.
  • Quality Control and Progress Notes: Check the participants' work to ensure it accurately meets business standards, uses positive motivation, and writes daily progress notes according to goals in individual support plan (ISP). Maintain quality control and safe work environment. Work with participants on their individual goals to foster growth and confidence. Model professional work behavior.
  • Data Entry: Assist participants in reading records and typing key details into computer databases.Track and record participant work.
  • Community Engagement: Support participants in self-directed living as they engage in community activities such as volunteer work, visiting performing art centers, sporting events, museums, gardens/parks and paying work positions.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum requirement is a high school diploma (or GED) 
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills (experience with Microsoft Word and Excel).
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in job coaching or office/clerical work is preferred but not required
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
