As a Security Officer Part Time Judicial Screener in West Palm Beach, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.45 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen people, bags, packages, and personal items at designated entry points using assigned equipment and established procedures to help support security-related operations.
• Verify identification, credentials, and access permissions before allowing entry, and direct visitors to the proper check-in area and/or department as needed.
• Respond to incidents, prohibited items, and unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and promptly report security-related concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
• Document screening activity, visitor interactions, and incident details accurately, and help to deter unauthorized access through attentive monitoring of entrances and surrounding areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be 21+ years of age.
• Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or have a college degree in criminal justice.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
