Job description

Please be advised that the following part time position is available:

PART TIME SECRETARY

SPECIAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT

Applicants must possess the following qualifications:

  • Excellent computer skills, including knowledge in Microsoft Office, along with the ability to learn and stay current with evolving software programs
  • Knowledge of the proper use of office equipment
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility to handle a variety of duties simultaneously
  • Ability to interact with staff, public and students on a professional basis

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Manage all aspects of record keeping, accounts payable, purchasing for the department
  • Schedule meetings and calendar events for Child Study Team Members and Director as required
  • Filing, data entry and other office duties
  • Assist in the preparation of: Individuals with Disabilities Education Act grant, Extraordinary Aid Report, Special Education Medicare Initiative submissions
  • Provide  secretarial support as needed
