Summary:

AGAT Laboratories is currently hiring for a General Labourerย to join our Environmental logistics team. This position is a Part-Time position working Friday-Sunday daysย out of the Calgary location.ย ย 

The successful candidate will be providing support to the logistics team with shipping/receiving of samples and other general labour activities in a warehouse environment.ย This is a great opportunity for someone starting out where they will gain valuable experience and direction from the Logistics Supervisor and team.ย 

What you will be doing:

  • Working in the warehouse/logistics area, ensure packages, cylinders, samplesย are handled safelyย  and stored in proper place.
  • Conduct and operate activities in safe manner, ensuringย all standard operating and safety procedures are followed.
  • Maintain, clean and organize work areas including cleaning and washing of lab equipment.ย 
  • Perform quality checks as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.ย 

What you bring to the table

  • High school diploma.
  • Previous work experience in general labour, warehouse,ย or lab setting.
  • Ability toย lift up to 20 kg/50 lbs on a consistent basis.
  • Good communication skills with fluency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks within a fast-paced work environment.
  • Hand-Eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Mature work ethic, dependable, with a willingness to work in a team as well as independently.ย 
  • Basic computer skills/
  • Must be able to wear appropriateย PPE including steel toed shoes/boots.
