Job description

We are seeking a Registered Dietitian (W-2) with an interest in providing one-on-one nutritional counseling in our New Port Richey location. The ideal candidate is passionate about nutrition and interested in working with people. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a growing company and make an impact on the lives of many individuals.

This position is Part-Time (16hrs per week) to start and can grow into Full-Time as desired.

We bill insurance! Applicants selected for this position will be credentialed and contracted under our group contracts. This position is considered fully vetted once insurance contracting has taken place so flexibility in start date is acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with patients one-on-one in an office setting utilizing both in-person and telehealth formats
  • Assess patient’s nutritional health through review of medical records, lab data, and personal reports to identify and treat nutritional diagnoses that arise from diabetes, chronic kidney disease, obesity/overweight, and other conditions
  • Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy based on current evidence-based nutrition science
  • Collaboratively work with patients to address issues, make personalized recommendations, and develop goals
  • Maintain complete and accurate charting notes using an electronic health record
  • Maintain communication among members of the patient's healthcare team as necessary

Qualifications

  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), minimum 5 years of experience
  • Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), Commission on Dietetic Registration (RD) and Florida State Board of Medical Licensure (LD) must be maintained
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills, ability to build rapport with patients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required
  • Strong computer, time management, and organizational skills are needed to be successful in this position
  • Experience with telehealth platforms, like Zoom, a must!
