As an Embedded Lead Engineer, you will support our team to engineer solutions for complex mission-critical challenges by leading the technical team to design, develop, and test embedded software RF capabilities. You will lead a team of engineers, contribute to innovative solutions, and grow your expertise in a supportive and dynamic environment. As the interface between the technical team and customer leadership you will directly prioritize, optimize, and lead implementation of objectives.
Our Research and Development (R&D) "hacker-like" environment focuses on innovative approaches and thought processes as opposed to extensive design documentation, meetings, and formalized review processes. This is an opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge technologies and deliver impactful solutions for real-world applications. Your work will shape the Army Cyber mission developing new technology for the warfighter. You Have:
  • 8+ years of experience performing software or systems design, development, or testing
  • 3+ years of experience developing or integrating with Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms
  • Experience in development with C and C++
  • Experience with Git version control
  • Experience leading teams using Agile SCRUM methods
  • Experience with embedded hardware systems
  • Knowledge of Linux distributions, including RedHat or Rocky Linux
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience using Atlassian Jira and Confluence
  • Experience developing or integrating solutions with embedded processors and FPGA fabrics such as Xilinx SoC and RFSoC devices
  • Experience with digital RF sampling, modulations, error correction, or compression
  • Experience with AI Code Generation
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science or Engineering field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
