Position Overview
RISE Academy is seeking a part-time High School Math teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The teacher will be responsible for teaching one advanced math course, such as Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, or Calculus, depending on campus needs, student enrollment, and the teacher's qualifications.
This is a part-time role with limited teaching hours, currently expected to include approximately 5 teaching periods per week. The schedule is intended to be especially compatible with qualified candidates who are available to teach during the first teaching period and then continue with other professional responsibilities or work commitments for the remainder of the day.

Responsibilities Include
  • Planning, developing, and implementing lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the school's instructional program
  • Preparing lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in student abilities and learning styles
  • Supporting students with diverse learning needs and implementing relevant accommodations as appropriate
  • Modifying instruction as needed for students with documented support plans, including IEPs or 504 plans, in coordination with school leadership
  • Providing students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to support intellectual, spiritual, emotional, and social growth
  • Conducting ongoing assessments of student achievement through formal and informal methods
  • Providing feedback, remediation, and support to help students work toward mastery
  • Creating a classroom environment conducive to active, respectful, and successful student learning
