Job description

The ideal Mainteneance Technician candidate must be organized, professional and motivated, dependable, capable of working well alone or as a member of a team; must have good awareness of internal and external deadlines: must have experience in HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, locks, framing, drywall, texture, painting and finishing, tile work and other general carpentry work.

 Responsibilities  

  • Responds and attend to guest repair requests and provides professional and courteous guest service at all times
  • Operates, repairs and maintains all hotel lighting and related equipment systems
  • Operates, repairs and maintains all plumbing and related equipment and systems
  • Repairs and maintains all hotel appliances and equipment and physical plant
  • Paints all surface & equipment, makes minor wall covering repairs and minor furniture touch-up
  • Repairs and maintains lock and key system
  • Performs minor construction work
  • Performs necessary inspections and repairs (as required & designated) to kitchen and restaurant equipment and furnishings
  • Ensures all projects are completed according to specifications and are completed on time
  • Performs any other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of Maintenance experience, preferably in a supervisory role
  • Excellent working knowledge of and experience in all facets of building maintenance. Knowledge of electrical, HVAC required
  • Excellent guest service skills, a high level of organization and attention to detail are required
  • Ability to work as a team and a positive attitude are a must
  • Be available on nights, weekends and holidays
