Somerville/Bridgewater YMCAs are looking for a friendly, administratively focused Member Service Representative who is responsible for serving members, guests, and program participants in a prompt, and courteous manner. You not only build relationships by being an ambassador of the Y's Welcoming and Inclusive culture but are also responsible for advancing the organization's Cause-Driven initiative, problem solving, and performing computer/administrative tasks to best serve the branches' 5000 members. This job is fully on-site, not remote.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: A Member Service Representative's primary responsibility is to ensure our members have “the best hour of their day” from the moment they enter our facility until the moment we wish them farewell. This is accomplished by engaging and providing members, guests, and program participants with an exceptional experience that exceeds their expectations.


Requirements:
  • Possess at least three years of member/customer service, hospitality, or other job-related experience.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn our database program (training provided).
  • Exceptional speaking, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Has experience and proven success with multi-tasking, problem solving and conflict resolution.
  • Is able to work as part of a team while being flexible, reliable and adaptable.
  • Is flexible in adapting to changing situations, procedures, and unique situations.
  • Able to work without direct supervision and is self-accountable.
  • Fundraising experience a plus.
  • Bilingual and multicultural experience a plus.

HOURS: Flexible Part Time Hours are Available! Specifically looking for opening shifts Monday-Friday (4:45am-9am)and weekend afternoons(12pm-5pm).
