Compensation: $23.00 / hour
Description
We're currently looking for a Care Companion in Riverdale, GA 30296
A lovely family in Riverdale, near the Atlanta airport, is seeking a Part Time Care Companion to assist with the care of their 90-year-old father. Care would be needed Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm. While still largely independent, their father has mild to moderate dementia and requires assistant running errands and gentle reminders to take his medication. He is a friendly and charming man with a love of the outdoors. The ideal candidate would have experience in adult, memory care, be patient, and enjoy connecting with and spending time with their client.
  • Schedule:
    • Monday: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
    • Wednesday: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
    • Friday: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Rate: $23 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Do medication check-ins and reminders
  • Assist with showering once per day
  • Light housekeeping and meal prep
  • Transport to and assist with errands such as grocery shopping
  • Occasionally assist with transport to and from doctor's appointments with notice

Requirements
  • Legally eligible to work in the US
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in adult care
    • Memory care experience is preferred
  • CPR certified, or willingness to become certified
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Able to provide 2 care-related references from a professional setting
  • Able to successfully clear a background and social media screening
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and proof of driver's insurance

Compensation
The position offers $23 per hour for approximately 12 hours per week, with the client seeking ongoing, long-term care.
