Job description

Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Engage clients in conversation and meaningful activities
  • Prepare light meals and snacks
  • Perform light housekeeping and laundry
  • Assist with grocery shopping and errands
  • Escort clients to appointments and community outings (when applicable)
  • Provide medication reminders (no medication administration)
  • Encourage physical activity as appropriate
  • Observe and report changes in client condition
  • Complete required visit documentation
  • Maintain client confidentiality and professionalism

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous caregiving, CNA, home care, or companion experience preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Compassionate, patient, and respectful
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a background check
