As a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Credential Processing in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control activities. You will use computer or tablet systems, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and deliver customer-focused service. Pay Rate: $22.28 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed10:00 PM - 06:00 AMThur10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a telecommunications and media location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, service calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, technical areas, parking facilities, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity.
  • Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
