Cybersecurity Mission Specialist
The Opportunity:
Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision. Mentor or supervise employees in both company and technical competencies. Support a team of cybersecurity and program protection planning (PPP) subject matter experts (SMEs) under a collaborative working group that integrates government stakeholders and contractor teams throughout a system's development life cycle to ultimately achieve a successful determination by the Authorizing Official (AO). Leverage domain expertise to create cybersecurity and PPP solutions aligned to client's mission.

You Have:
  • 12+ years of experience with cybersecurity, securing DoW systems, and conducting cybersecurity analyses in accordance with DoD Risk Management Frameworks and guidelines, including review of requirements, architecture, design, and prototypes
  • 1+ years of experience creating Platform IT (PIT) cybersecurity authorization package artifacts, including creating Anti-Tamper (AT) Plan, Security Control Traceability Matrix (SCTM), Attack Path Analysis (APA), Security Assessment Plan (SAP) Security Assessment Report (SAR), Architecture Analysis Report (AAR), Information System Security Plan (ISSP), Program Protection Implementation Plan (PPIP), and Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M)
  • Experience in Risk Management Framework (RMF), avionics, embedded systems, and aircraft System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Ability to go through the entire Assess and Authorize (A&A) process to obtain an Authority to Test (IATT) or an Authority to Operate (ATO)
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • DoDI 8140.03 Certifications

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience working with embedded systems in size, weight, and power (SWaP) constrained environments
  • Knowledge of agile, DevSecOps, and rapid prototyping practices as applied to project management and system development
  • Knowledge of position, navigation, and timing (PNT) concepts and practices
  • Knowledge of Global Positioning System (GPS) concepts and practices
  • Knowledge of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) concepts and practices
  • Ability to apply cybersecurity and PPP concepts in novel ways to support unique system requirements and program goals
  • Ability to regularly brief stakeholders, including status updates, technical details and approaches, and analysis results
  • Top Secret clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
