Description

Part Time Nights, 7pm-7am with every other weekend.

The Telemetry Technician reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Performs telemetry monitoring to provide data for the diagnosis and treatment of heart conditions.

Responsibilities: 

  • Attaches electrode lead lines to proper body areas based on type of test ordered.
  • Prepares skin and surroundings to ensure valid results.
  • Obtains and documents ECG readings as directed.
  • Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors.
  • Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately.
  • Identifies and corrects for artifacts.
  • Edits and forwards results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
  • Maintains ECG equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma
  • Successful completion of ECG interpretation coursework
  • CPR - Basic Life Support
