Pharmacy Technician Instructors help take care of students through their lifecycle with Ross!
We are looking for experienced online instructors for full online students in our PHT programs.
  • Working with students on achieving a certificate/diploma
  • Use Ross curriculum, supplemented with your own work/life experiences and medical knowledge.
  • You will have regular communication and interaction with your students through your comments and discussions.
  • This is an active and supportive online environment for students, so you will need to allow enough time each week to communicate promptly with students and other staff.
  • Training and "ramp up" hours are provided.
Requirements
  • Prior teaching experience teaching online using a contemporary LMS or as an online student using Canvas or D2L/Brightspace preferred
  • 3+ years' recent experience in the field as a Pharmacy Technician and formal training from an accredited institution.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a national certification as Pharmacy Technician, and a license within your state, as required.
  • Individuals without a formal education, must have with a minimum of 5+ years' recent experience working as a Pharmacy Technician and a current national certification. Additional requirements or exceptions may be applicable based on the state, program, and accreditation requirements. No prior teaching experience required.
  • Must supply own equipment and have reliable high speed internet access
  • Must live/work in a state where Ross already does business or has employees (MI, OH, IN, KY, TN, WV, IA, NM, FL, GA, AZ, AL)
  • Strongly Preferred: Ross Graduate or former Ross Instructor
  • Ability to use current technology to maintain student records
  • Ability to communicate effectively in classroom and individual settings
  • Knowledge of materials (subjects) that will be taught to students and ability to use and communicate Ross curriculum
  • Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to achieve or maintain credential and/or licensure within expected time frames
  • Demonstrates professionalism in manner, dress and conduct as a representative of Ross and a student mentor
  • Ability to remain objective and treat all students equally
