Familiarity with version control systems like Git, basic database management, and sometimes certifications such as a coding bootcamp or relevant degree are valuable assets. Effective time management, communication skills, and the ability to work independently or with remote teams set strong candidates apart. These skills are crucial for producing high-quality code efficiently while balancing part-time hours and meeting project goals.
