Overview

Provides family-centered patient care that is based in scientific theory and is outcome focused. Manages and develops massage and aromatherapy programs and services. Coordinates the care of these patients in both inpatient and ambulatory settings. Provides direct care and services as a clinical resource for the education and consultation of the healthcare team.

If you are selected for this position, you will be asked to supply your immunization records as proof of vaccination. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.

Responsibilities

  • Provides therapeutic massage services to patients in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Assists with the development and integration of massage services in the inpatient and outpatient settings while providing education to hospital staff.
  • Provides education to patients and families related to massage and aromatherapy.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent 1-2 years experience
  • Licensed Massage Therapist MO
  • Certified Massage Therapist (Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage) Preferred
  • Certification in infant massage or other integrative therapy Preferred
  • Experience in research applications of massage therapy Preferred
  • Missouri State Licensed Massage Therapist Required
  • Pain Management Aromatherapy Coursework Required 90 Days
  • Maintain professional certifications Preferred

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $21.10/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
