Part Time Cleaner Jobs in Hammond, LA (NOW HIRING)

Thompson Trio, LLC, a Jani-King franchise and respected family-owned business, has been setting the benchmark for commercial cleaning services across Louisiana's Northshore since 1999. We are actively seeking dedicated individuals to join our part-time cleaning crew to clean buildings in St. Tammany & Tangipahoa Parishes and to help with one time jobs. This opportunity is perfect for those looking to supplement their primary income with work in the commercial cleaning industry.
Compensation and Work Available:
We pay our team on Fridays, every two weeks, via direct deposit or check. We compensate for miles traveled between buildings/job sites. Additional information about this job can be seen below:
Janitorial Work:

• Recurring work, daily, set schedule
• Pay: $14.00 / hour

• earliest shift start time is at 5:00pm, Monday - Friday
• 2 - 3 hours, paid hourly
• requires drug test and background test (we pay for this time and for the tests)
• full clean, see janitorial duties 
• location is 3 minutes away from Shift 2 building
• Friday shifts are flexible, can be cleaned during the weekend

• earliest shift start time is at 5:00pm, Monday - Friday
• 1.5 hours, paid hourly
• building location is 3 minutes from Shift 1 building
• team clean, shift responsibilities include trash, dust mopping, and mopping floors
• Friday shifts are flexible, can be cleaned during the weekend

• Pay is dependent on the job type and the applicants experience
• $14 or more per hour
• Shifts/jobs are dependent on what is available

Your Role and Responsibilities:
We provide you all of the equipment, supplies, and PPE for you to complete your job. Your first uniform shift is free (distributed after training), and additional shirt purchased are deducted from your paycheck. 
Janitorial Work

• Trash removal - changing trash can liners, taking large trash bags and empty boxes to a dumpster
• Dusting - detailed dusting of desks, light fixtures, baseboards, cobwebs, windowsills
• Restroom cleaning - cleaning sinks, toilets, scouring inside toilet bowls, replacing paper products
• Kitchen cleaning - cleaning exterior of appliances, tabletops, countertops, replacing paper products
• Floor cleaning - mopping floors with string mops, flat mops, or floor machines
• Carpet cleaning - vacuuming carpet areas and rugs using an upright vacuum or backpack vacuum
• Equipment - operate upright or backpack vacuums (10-11 lbs), maintain equipment, report damaged equipment
• Chemicals - learn to dilute chemicals, refill spray bottles, prepare mop buckets
• Utilize the company application daily 
• Remember alarm codes and be able to arm/disarm security systems
• Keep keys to accounts that you have been trained in
• Communicate when supplies are running low to either a supervisor or to the client
• Interact with clients or clean buildings with the client's personnel present
• Work with other team members for larger buildings or one-time jobs

• construction cleaning - rough cleaning buildings during construction, final cleanings or move in cleans
• initial cleanings of buildings
• window cleaning - exterior/interior 

Hiring Requirements:
Given our decentralized operation, all team members must also meet the following to be hired:

• Possession of a personal vehicle 
• Working personal cell phone - download application for clocking in/out

• background test spanning 7 years
• drug test 

Janitorial Training:
We believe in equipping our team with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel. This phase of hiring includes a minimum of 20 hours of supervised hands-on training, covering our company policies, cleaning techniques, and equipment use. You will be trained by either a supervisor or an owner, therefore the training shifts are dependent on their availability.
