Location: Auburn, Washington (In-person)

Type: Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: Part-Time

Compensation: $17.13 per hour

Tessera is seeking a hard-working and detailed Janitor to join our manufacturing team in Auburn, Washington. Tessera Janitors are responsible for providing janitorial services to maintain clean, neat, safe, and professional office and work environments.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Restroom Cleaning - sanitize and clean all toilets, urinals, sinks, fixtures, partitions, walls, door handles & doors. Restock supplies. Collect trash and replace liners. Sweep and mop floors. Follow cross contamination procedures.

  • Office Cleaning - sweep, mop and vacuum daily. Wipe all door handles.

  • Cleaning halls and high traffic areas - sweep baseboards and vacuum according to schedule.

  • Cleaning entrances and exits - sweep and vacuum according to schedule, spot and/or wash windows as needed

  • Trash - trash lunchrooms, coffee areas, restrooms and all office areas according to schedule.

  • Recycle - empty all "Mixed Paper" bins into bin next to dumpsters. All cardboard in the cardboard recycle area.

  • Restocking supplies - restock supplies daily for bathrooms, all kitchen areas and common areas.

  • Dusting - dusting in lunch/coffee areas, restrooms and office areas.

  • Wet/Dry mopping-wet/dry floor according to schedule.

  • Sweeping - sweep each area according to schedule.

  • Communicating with customers - always be courteous and communicate in a professional manner when talking with customers.

  • Entry Way - sweep and pick up outside entry way.

  • Clean Refrigerators/freezers - on an as needed basis.

  • Cleaning Microwaves - on an as needed basis

  • Replace Urinal Deodorizer - on an as needed basis.

  • Janitor's Area- clean and organize on an as needed basis.

  • May be exposed to loud noises, confined spaces, dust or fumes.

  • Employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the plant floor.

  • Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor.

  • Follows all Safety Procedures and Policies.

  • Must be able to work independently.

  • All Other Duties As Assigned

Qualifications:

  • 6+ months previous Custodial or Janitorial experience is preferred

  • Must be able to follow instructions and learn cleaning processes

  • Must be able to tell time and count work hours

  • Ability to communicate with customer in a professional and courteous manner is highly preferred

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.

  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
