Job Title: Regional Driver

Job Grade: 15

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Service Manager

Appraisal Type: Employee

Job Purpose: Hess Services is seeking a dependable Part-Time Bus Driver to transport inmate workers safely between the correctional facility and designated job sites. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys driving, values safety, and will follow policies and procedures.

No CDL? No Problem! We are willing to train the right candidate and assist with obtaining a Class B Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement. *Conditions apply.


Potential Schedule: Hours may vary between 4:30am to 7:00am and 3:00pm to 5:30pm. Morning or Evening Shift. Approximately, 11-25 hours per week with potential opportunity for more.


Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport inmates to and from the correctional facility and work locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor while working with correctional staff and inmates.
  • Report any vehicle maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
  • Clean/Wash the bus.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements:

Qualifications and Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to obtain a Class B CDL with Passenger (P) Endorsement.
  • Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and reliability.
  • Ability to pass all required pre-employment screenings.
