Job description

Come join our team! As a school bus driver, As a Charter Driver for SchoolWheels Direct, you will be assigned to transport children to and from Sporting Events/ Field trips as needed. These folks will operate school buses for district Sports Runs with the possibility, if agreed, to work other driving duties as mutually agreed to. You will have the support of a dedicated, local management team and the training needed to perform your job safely, and with care. Charter Drivers are responsible for the safe delivery of students to and from school along set routes, adherence to school bus safety and bus stop safety standards, and daily vehicle inspections, among other duties.     Job Type: Part-time hours vary.

    Pay Rate: $21.30 an hour Must have CDL Class B with Air brake Passenger, and School Bus endorsements

    Location: 1264 Oriole Beach Rd, Gulf Breeze FL 32563

    Responsibilities:

    • Transport clients to various locations.
    • Ensuring safe transportation of all passengers on the bus.
    • Ensuring the safe operation of vehicles and equipment.
    • Providing friendly courteous service to our customers.
    • Maintain compliance with all Student Transportation of America/ School Wheels Direct safety operating procedures.
    • Maintain professionalism at all times.

    Requirements:

    • Must be over the age of 21.
    • Must have Class B CDL with School Bus, Air Brake, and Passenger endorsement
    • Must be able to pass a DOT physical examination.
    • Maintain proper driving credentials..
    • Must have a minimum of 5 years verifiable driving history.
    • Must be professional and punctual.
    • No more than 2 moving violations and 1 preventable accident in the past 3 years
    • Strong customer service skills.
    • Ability to adhere to all company safety standards and operating procedures.
