Aviation Faculty member responsibilities include teaching, advising and student professional development. The successful candidate must possess a strong commitment to safety, student learning and will be receptive to using active and engaged teaching methods and technology in the classroom and in the aircraft. Job Duties:
- Promote all facets of flight training in support of MCC's Professional Pilot Program
- Comply with FAA and MCC regulations, policies and procedures for delivering Private Pilot, Instrument Pilot and Commercial Pilot ground and flight instruction.
- Work in conjunction with assigned students to establish and achieve robust flight schedules and maintain accurate flight training and academic records
- Ensure course standards, training requirements and objectives are met by each student
Minimum Qualifications:
- FAA Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) is required, CFII preferred
- Current FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate
- 275+ hours of flight time required, minimum 50 hours instruction given preferred
- Cessna 172 experience preferred
- Garmin G1000 experience preferred
- Experience operating Redbird AATD simulators preferred
