Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible and dedicated CDL Bus Driver to safely transport preschool-aged children, 4 years old- 12 years-old, to and from school, field trips, and Summer program activities. This role is essential in ensuring the safety, comfort, and timeliness of our students' transportation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a school bus or designated vehicle in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Transport children to and from school, extracurricular activities, and Summer program activities.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment on the bus, ensuring students follow all safety guidelines.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with parents, school staff, and administrators.
  • Adapt to a flexible schedule, including Summer transportation needs and field trips.
  • Ensure proper seating and use of child safety devices such as seat belts
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules while adapting to changes as needed.
  • Complete required logs, reports, and paperwork in a timely manner.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
  • Must obtain North Carolina Child Care Criminal Qualifying Letter
  • Present a TB Screening/Test and Health Assessment
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Prior experience driving school buses or passenger vehicles preferred.
  • Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to child safety.
