About the Role

Bowman Steel, LLC is seeking a dependable and experienced Part-Time CDL Driver to support our Summerfield operations. This position will be responsible for safely operating a 5500 Series Cab & Chassis with a 40' gooseneck trailer to transport materials, equipment, and other company-related items as needed.

The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, reliable, professional, and comfortable operating larger vehicles and trailers in a construction or industrial environment.

Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities may include:

  • Operate a 5500 Series Cab & Chassis with a 40' gooseneck trailer safely and responsibly.
  • Transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites, yards, vendors, and company locations.
  • Perform basic pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Ensure loads are properly secured before transport.
  • Follow all DOT, company, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain communication with management regarding routes, delivery schedules, and any issues.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, or material handling as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and professional company vehicle.
  • Represent Bowman Steel in a professional manner while on the road and at job sites.
Requirements
  • Valid CDL license required.
  • Clean driving record preferred.
  • Experience hauling trailers, goosenecks, equipment, or construction-related materials preferred.
  • Ability to safely operate a 5500 Series Cab & Chassis with a 40' gooseneck trailer.
  • Knowledge of load securement and basic DOT safety requirements.
  • Ability to work approximately 20–30 hours per week, with some weeks varying based on company needs.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and safety-minded.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and follow instructions.
