As a Security Officer - Part Time Access Control in Odessa, TX, this enhanced role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $14.15 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, badge verification steps, and/or entry and exit protocols at the location.
• Monitor entry points, credential checks, visitor logs, and/or vehicle access activity to help support authorized access and report unusual or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and site emergency response guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, gates, and/or restricted areas, with attention to security-related concerns and access control issues.
• Communicate with site contacts, team members, and/or responding personnel regarding incidents, policy questions, and daily activity, while completing required reports and documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
