Job description


As an Airport Security Officer - CCTV in Lihue, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a government location, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence and exceptional customer service. In the CCTV unit, you will not only be monitoring CCTV cameras and coverage of all the airport property. This position also includes being dispatched to door and gate breaches to ensure procedures have not been violated.


Position Type: Part Time - Afternoon

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.93. The premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements:

  • 21+ years of age
  • Security Experience: 1+ years
  • CCTV/Dispatch Experience: 1+ years
  • Ability to multi-task and operate in a fast pace environment
  • Must be able to pass a psychological evaluation

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate channels when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public access areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry when required, and help to deter unauthorized access through visible presence and professional interaction.
  • Document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities, and communicate with site contacts, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
