Job description

We are seeking askilled and experienced Off Track Betting Cashier to join our team and ensuringthat our guests have a positive experience. The candidate will have excellentcommunication and customer service skills and be able to work efficiently in afast-paced environment. 

Priority will be given to candidates with previous experience in horse racing and off track betting.
Responsibilities:

  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to organize and communicate thoughts.
  • Ability to carry out responsibilities with limited supervision.
  • Maintains and balance float.
  • Processing horse racing bets on specialized betting terminals.
  • Provides basic technical support for betting machines, machine malfunction diagnosis which may include reporting any machine malfunction to service technician.
  • Troubleshooting: reporting any suspicious activity to Supervisor or Security
  • Preparation and maintenance of decoders and televisions.
  • Identifies and reports counterfeit bills to Supervisor or Security.
  • Follows all rules outlined by Canadian Pari-Mutuel Agency.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Providing exceptional customer service.
  •  Ability to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to multitask and handle a high-volume workload.
  • Sharp mathematical skills to add and multiply numbers quickly. numerical combinations.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Related Off-Track Betting (OTB) experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
