Facility Maintenance


Summary


The St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) Food Facility Maintenance staff is responsible for the safety, cleanliness, and repair/maintenance of the buildings owned by SVdP. This role supports the mission of SVdP by providing repair work, facility upkeep, and general maintenance.


Key Responsibilities


Upkeep of all SVdP owned buildings (general repairs, inspections).

Moving product, furniture, and other items from one facility to another.

Load and unload items safely, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Inspect the facility and grounds for concerns, complete work or schedule work as applicable.

Maintain accurate inspection and repair logs.

May include conducting routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues.

Follow all safety procedures.

Assist in warehouse organization and food sorting when needed.

Mark product and pallets, incoming items upon delivery to maintain the warehouse and for record keeping.

Other Duties as assigned.


Qualifications


Valid drivers license and clean driving record.

Ability to operate box trucks or cargo vans, forklift is a plus (not required).

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Physical Requirements


Frequent lifting, bending, and standing.

Ability to work in varying weather conditions.

Ability to enter and exit vehicles multiple times per shift.

Ability to lift and move heavy items up to 50lbs.



This role requires the ability to use basic tools and equipment and complete general buildings repairs. This includes maintenance of SVdP grounds and requires the safe usage of lawn equipment.


This role is part time (25 hours per week) and may be offered additional hours when projects or repairs are needed.
