Job description

The Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN) Family Birthing Center at Manchester Memorial Hospital features a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). We are seeking Neonatology Nurse Practitioners for full-time (40 hours per week) or part-time (24 hours per week) positions that promote a flexible work-life balance. Our services include lactation consultations, midwife and doula support, education on neonatal abstinence syndrome, nitrous oxide therapy, vaginal birth after cesarean, and hydrotherapy and water births. Joining our multidisciplinary team means collaborating with Connecticut Children's Medical Center, known for its excellence in pediatric and neonatal care. Our team includes Neonatology APRN/PA-C providers, nurses, lactation consultants, pediatricians, physical therapists, respiratory therapists, and social workers. We are committed to a rewarding environment focused on advanced care for high-acuity premature newborns and encourage lifelong learning and professional development. Position Highlights:
  • Level 3 Neonatology Intensive Care Unit with infant nursery
  • Provide high-risk care for deliveries and C-sections, including resuscitation
  • Daily clinical management, rounding, surgical procedure experience, admissions, and documentation
  • Flexible 24-hour or 12-hour rotating shifts to support work-life balance

Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN) is a distinguished community healthcare system that includes two respected acute-care hospitals: Manchester Memorial and Rockville General, a campus of Manchester Memorial Hospital. We offer 249 beds and are supported by approximately 500 physicians and advanced practitioners. Requirements:
  • Graduates with an advanced degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program must have 2 or more years of experience as a NICU Nurse Practitioner
  • Connecticut license, Federal DEA, and Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) or eligible
