Responsibilities

As a School Bus Attendant, you'll help transport students living with disabilities to and from school safely and with the utmost care. You'll be a friendly and familiar face at the beginning and end of each child's school day, while building trusted relationships with students and their families.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist students on and off the school bus and support the Driver with securements
  • Complete incident reports, and daily communication with guardians
  • Assist the Driver in maintaining safety procedures, including emergency evacuations when required
  • Monitor student behavior during transport to ensure a calm, supportive, and safe environment
  • Build trust rapport with both students and guardians


Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or individuals living with disabilities
  • Monday to Friday both AM and PM availability (6:30am - 9:30am and 1:30pm - 4:30pm)
  • Have proficiency in English (both written and verbal)
  • Clean criminal record check and drug test
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal
  • Bonus: valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license
