What are part time building officials?

Part time building officials are professionals who work on a part-time basis to ensure that construction projects comply with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations. Their duties typically include inspecting construction sites, reviewing building plans, and issuing permits. Part time building officials may work for municipal governments, private inspection firms, or as independent contractors, and their schedules are often flexible to accommodate the needs of their employers or clients.
