Familiarity with maintenance management systems, building automation controls, and relevant safety certifications (such as OSHA 10) is essential. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication with tenants and team members set top performers apart. These skills ensure efficient building operations, prompt issue resolution, and a safe, well-maintained environment.

Part-time building engineers often face the challenge of balancing maintenance tasks and urgent repairs within limited working hours. Efficient time management and clear communication with the full-time engineering team are essential to ensure that critical issues are addressed promptly and routine maintenance is scheduled appropriately.
